Architecture

The following are a collection of the projects I have worked on as an Architect over the last 15 years since graduating. There is a lot of work required to take a building or project from its inception to its conclusion. All the stages of development present challenges which include design, regulations, statutory consents, time, cost, construction, management and many other elements. While this can be challenging it is also rewarding as you experience the projects progress and particularly on completion when you get to experience in reality what has spent significant time on paper / screen.

Working as an architect also exposes you to many aspects of professional / creative life and society in general. I have worked within diverse areas of life including commercial sectors, education, healthcare, childcare, housing, private residential, offices, community along with feasibility studies and master plans. This has naturally meant a lot of collaboration with clients, design team members, contractors and consultation with public sector bodies and the general public.

I feel all of this has been beneficial, providing me with a diverse understanding professional life and more broadly, society as a whole.
